Bear Country is a meditation on the primal connection between human consciousness and the untamed wilderness. As I created this piece, I envisioned the forest not as a backdrop, but as a living presence—one that shapes us, shelters us, and sees through us. The woman's face, emerging from the bark and shadow of the woods, represents our deeper self—rooted, intuitive, watchful.
