ASMR which stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response explores the paradox of sensory overload and numbed detachment in the digital age. With a vintage TV as the head and a serene face behind the screen, this figure represents how we consume feeling through mediated experiences. It’s about being plugged in yet disconnected — stimulated but still. I created this piece with the intention of it being both surreal and eerily familiar, like a whisper you can’t quite place but feel anyway.
